Summertime

It's starting to warm up, but it's raining all the time here. Today is sunny and will probably hit 90, but they're calling for rain the next 4 days. I'm going to the field to harvest wheat with the test combine whenever it's dry enough and leaving Christine home alone, but I'll only be about 3 hours south of here.

No big plans this weekend. We toyed with the idea of a churrasco (barbeque with meat on sticks) here, but the unpredictibility of the weather makes it tough.

Last weekend we went to Gramado. About a 7 hour drive (pretty well straight east of us), the roads aren't that good and some of it was mountains - or at least big hills. I'm attaching a picture of us there to show the region. It reminded us of Galena a bit - there were a lot of chocolate and wine shops, furnature stores, real turisty stuff. I guess it's a popular honeymoon spot. It's cold there because of the altitude.
We have another longer weekend in the middle of November so we are thinking about our next mini-trip.
That's about all I know for now....
