OK, Can't say that I've ever 'blogged' before, but here it goes....
We have mostly just been working down here and bearing some odd weather. It has rained hard for about 2 days in a row now. We must have gotten 10 inches of rain or more by now. It just seems to run off here.
Before the rains it was warm and we have used the pool a bit when we got brave enough or it got hot enough to tolerate the cold water.
Work is busy here, lots of Deere ambitions for South America. Christine is keeping busy with 7-8 classes per week that she is teaching and taking 4 classes per week to learn Português. She is speaking very well, she is considering taking a certification for the language next year to give her a goal to work toward.
This Friday (12-Oct) is a holiday for Deere and everyone - kid's day, I guess. Monday is teacher's day and Christine doesn't have to teach. So, we are going to Gramado, a tourist town in Rio Grande do Sul (our state) - about a 6 hour drive. We are going with another Brazilian couple. It's an old German town with lots of 'colonial' breakfasts, fancy chocolates, fondue restaurants, and other tourist-type things to do.

Well, just wanted to test this out. More when we return next week.
