Updates from down south

I was out in the field testing the STS in wheat a few hours from here last week. Everything went well except for the snake that Christine thinks she saw. We are all hoping it was just a lizard. We know we have a couple of those. They keep the snakes away.
It's about 95 and sunny today, but it was only about 60 this morning. They say another monsoon is heading in tomorrow. We are thinking of travelling next week - Thurs and Fri are holidays and I haven't used any vacation here yet... no plans yet, though.
I found out today that I need to return to Silvis for meetings on the 19th and 20th, so I'll probably be home on about the 18th for about a week. Lots of travelling.
Speaking of travelling - just to make it official, we're planning on arriving in Chicago on about the 21st of December and staying there until Christmas Day when we'll come to Geneseo. I am planning on staying until about the 5th of Jan, taking vacation, and Christine will stay a couple of weeks longer.
